Assignment 10 jannuary 2013 (my horror movies)

This my horror movies, to be honest, I have no idea what a Hijab is until I watched this movie. Or the trailer of this movie. But I have known the concept of it all before.Unfortunately, the Hijab in question did not came about until one third of the movie... and then, after the hijab thing happened, it came into play quite late in the game as well...Anyway, this movie is Pierre Andre's baby... him, of the Seru and Jangan Pandang Belakang fame...Actually, the storyline is a bit iffy... Rafael (played stiffly by Pierre) is an aspiring actor who finally gets a big break in the film industry. His first major movie role. In a horror movie. Unfortunately for him, he does not get easily spooked so naturally he turns to the hijab thing, which by the way, is the unseen veil covering our eyes from seeing the supernatural and the otherworldly. Because that it is scary in horror adventure in supernatural world .with his fear versions sight eyes.

Asignment 10 Jannuary 2013 ( Superstitions about my own village ).

 Raja Bersiong (KEDAH)

A King and his troops came across a town called Kampung Gading. There they met a strong but mute and deaf man named Badang, who is the personal servant of a young woman named Chomel. The King pretended to be a normal guard as part of a plan to lure Badang to become his personal protector and Chomel to become his wife. His plan was successful, and he married Chomel.

Some time later, the king's appetite changed. At dinner one night, he commends the cook for the delicious dish and asked what the main ingredient was. The cook was forced revealed that the unusual taste was due to the cook's own blood, which had fallen into the dish when his hand was bleeding. The king found love for the taste of human blood, and over time he grew fangs and began attacking his own people to feast on them. In the end the King was killed by his subjects when his appetite for blood heightened.

Superstitions in malay culture

Superstitions Part Of Malay Tradition

Superstition is a belief in a non-physical causality: that one event causes another without any physical process linking the two events. The word is often used pejoratively to refer to practices other than the one prevailing in a given society, although the prevailing religion may contain just as many supernatural beliefs. It is also commonly applied to beliefs and practices surrounding luck, prophecy and spiritual beings, particularly the belief that future events can be foretold by unrelated prior events. It is well known that Malaysia are generally superstitions lot. Irrespective of race, Malaysians still believe that they can better achieve wealth, power, career, love etc with the help of supernatural means. We all know  of people thst have sought the assistance of bomohhs (Malay witch doctors), Feng shui masters (Chinese and Indian astrologers and mediums etc to achieve whatever their goals are in life.

Superstitions in Malaysia

PONTIANAK

When the pontianak draws near, its presence is accompanied by a sweet, floral fragrance that quickly turns into a putrid stench. Some believe the pontianak seeks out its prey by sniffing clothes hung out to dry. That's why some of the the superstitious malays never leave any of their clothing outside overnight.

There are a few of signs that tell a pontianak is in the area. In folklore, it usualy makes its presence known through baby cries. If the cry is loud, then the danger is not immediate, the Pontianak is still far away. However, if the cry becomes faint means the Pontianak is very close. Likewise, a howling dog indicates a pontianak is far, While a whimpering one warns of the bloodthirsty creature's immediate proximity.

There is only one way to stop this violet creature. If an iron nail is driven into its neck, it turns back into womanit used to be. However, if the nail is ever removed, the Pontianak reverts to its monstrous nature, free to continue preying on humans. Some legemds also state that if one were to tie a red thread from the banana tree. Some legends also state that if one were to tie a red thread from the banana tree the Pontianak resides into the foot of one's bed, the Pontianak would then become bound to that person's.

Assignment before friday 28 Dicember 2012(My favourite horror movies)

Horror movies are now a very popular choice to watch today. Without any doubt it is fun to watch but why would people choose to watch a film that will frighten them over and over again? Is it because of the excitements they can get or are they just happy to feel the intense going on. Maybe people just like to get scared all the time but it just does not make any sense, but well humans are sometimes unreasonable. There are a two types of horror movies. One of it is the hack and slash horror movie or so called the gory type which consist of scenes of people shedding lots of blood, body parts flying around, or even organs dropping around the floor. The other one is the supernatural horror movie also known as the type which something or a ghost just pop out of nowhere and adding a loud sound effect that scares everyone off their seats. Both are called Horror movies but both have different ways to scare.
